Flor de Toloache: Making Herstory in New York
As the winners of the Latin GRAMMY in 2017 and nominees for the GRAMMY Awards in 2020, Flor de Toloache holds a unique place in New York City’s music history. They are the city’s first and only all-woman mariachi group, a band that continuously pushes the boundaries of traditional Mexican music by blending both traditional and contemporary musical styles. Furthermore, they promote recognition of women in the Mariachi world. This powerful female ensemble, with their unique voices coming from Mexico and the USA, secured their place as Latin Grammy winners. They will grace the stage at the Cultural Autumn CajaCanarias, as part of their 2023 European tour. The band will be introducing their fifth album, namely “MOTHERFLOWER”.
