Marwán Celebrates Two Decades in Music with New Album and Tour ‘Songs for an Urgency’
Marwán will mark his 20th anniversary in the music industry with a new album and tour, aptly named ‘Songs for an Urgency’. He will set off on this monumental tour in October 2023, giving performances across Spain and Latin America over a year and a half period. The tour will serve to introduce his new album, which is set for release in September of the same year.
Four singles from the upcoming album have already been revealed, namely ‘My Parachute’ with Mikel Izal, ‘The Equation’ with Miguel Poveda, ‘The Old Boxer’ with Kevin Johansen, and the previously unreleased track ‘They Call it Life’ featuring Nach.
Tickets for the tour are now available for purchase. The first performance will take place in Murcia on 27th October 2023, and will be followed by a succession of concerts in cities including Pamplona, Santander, Oviedo, and Albacete. In 2024, Marwán plans to extend his tour to Barcelona, Zaragoza, La Laguna, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, Málaga, Granada, Almería, Santiago de Compostela, and Alicante, with further cities yet to be confirmed.
Speaking on the choice of the title, Marwán shared that ‘Songs for an Urgency’ was selected as he has spent half his life tied to these songs and nothing has been able to replace them. The opportunity to combine all of these tracks in a single tour represents a chance to share his music and converge people around his songs. According to Marwán, having a common sentiment with thousands of people has always been profoundly healing for him, like a sort of reencounter ritual.
